Research

01. Hostile Architecture

Something that I have noticed in Virginia Beach and Norfolk is the increase in the homeless population. This has led me to take a look around the area to see a difference in structures like benches with weird bars. This inspired me to research more into Hostile Architecture.

02. Writing Proposal

When writing my proposel I stated my goal was to edcucate and advocate for the removal of hostile archetecture. My target audience would be the general public that could affect public polieces in local government. Something that I would like to achive through the campaign is to inform people about hostile architecture and how to spot it. Therefore, I ustilize a lot of photography of the architecture and post some fact gained from websites.

Designing The Campaign

01. Mood Board

For the campaign, I took inspiration from brutalists, street art, and typography. Furthermore, I looked at other posters that tackeld the same subject matter of homelessness

02. Identity

For my colors I try to acheve a mix of energetic with the blue and the yellow with the dullness of the greys. The Header font is Redemption and the body copy is Hsenwhetther

03. Website Concept

The Purpose behind the app was to spread awareness of Hostile Architecture. Essentially, someone would take a picture and post it to the website to create a database of document hostile architecture, and then would fill a form to send to their local government .
