UX: Music Feature
Problem: Create an interactive experience that allows users to stream music and has at least one feature your competitors do not have
Solution: I created an app called TuneSync. The app allows you to connect with other music lovers who share your taste.

Research
01. Competitor Analysis
My first step was to look at the strengths and weaknesses of other music streaming services. The main competitors that I looked at were Spotify and Apple Music, and I also looked at Amazon Music. Something that I found was that each competitor was not utilizing the opportunity to connect users with each other
03. User Survey and Interview
My next step was to gather research on my user to see if the feature would be useful. I created a survey to gain information about how much people listen to music with friends and how willing they are to meet other people with similar music taste.
Would you like to leave comments on a song for your friend to see?
Red(No)
Blue(Yes)
Would you like to leave comments on a song for your friend to see?
Red(No)
Blue(Yes)
I gave my friend a list of tasks to do in the Spotify app and recorded her movements. I gained knowledge on how a user would move around the Spotify app. I also saw if there were any issues that they had so I could see if I could improve on it.
02. Feature Idea
After my analysis, I came up with a few feature ideas that focused on connecting users, adding a social aspect to music streaming. The Feature that I came up with was seeing your friends and other people who are listening to the same song as you. Furthermore, they would be able to leave comments on the videos.
How often do you listen to your music with Friends?
Sometime(Yellow)

Designing Feature
01. Identity
02. Wireframing
These were my wireframing of the home screen and the Song player. I did some AV testing with the Song player to see which altered version of the song player was most comfortable with the user.
03. Adding Content and Prototyping
Reflection
The project showed me different methods of research that would be beneficial in creating design that reflects the user. Av testing and User Interviews were able to give me more in-depth information about my target users and how my design could function better. The competitive analysis also provided me with a strong foundation for defending my feature.
